Brief

To create an interactive CD-ROM for Key Stage 1 and 2 children about Field Boundaries.

Description

We created several interactive scenes showing different types of field boundaries and the animals that live in them. We also showed the effects that modern farming have upon those boundaries.

I found Redhead Designs very easy to work with when designing and producing my educational CD-ROM. I had clear ideas but no idea about practicalities. [Redhead Designs Ltd] was very clear and helpful at guiding me through the process. I have been very happy with the end product. It looked even better than I had hoped and has worked really, really well. The CDs have been very well received by the schools; and the kids as well as the adults have loved using them. The graphics are fun and the animation and sound effects have been great fun. Many schools have put the CD onto their network for all classes to use.

The CD went to about 180 Primary Schools and I visited 20. Each teacher filled out a feedback form after the visit.
"Did your class enjoy using the CD-ROM?" every teacher replied YES
"Do You think you will use it again?" every teacher replied YES
"Would you recomend it to a college?" every teacher replied YES, some put that they already have
"Was the CD a useful way to get Natural History into the curriculmn?" all replied YES
